CUBEANGLE ARTA PLATFORM
Governed Developer Self-Service, Deployed in Your Cloud
Arta is a customer-hosted Internal Developer Platform for Azure and AWS. It turns approved architectures, governance standards, and infrastructure-as-code patterns into a reusable infrastructure catalog, giving development teams self-service access to environments, applications, and cloud resources while platform teams retain control.

THE CHALLENGE
Development teams can spend days or weeks navigating infrastructure requests, approvals, access configuration, repository setup, and deployment pipelines before beginning business work. When every team follows a different process, governance is applied inconsistently and platform engineers become a delivery bottleneck.

Arta converts approved platform patterns into repeatable self-service workflows. Architecture and governance decisions are defined once, then applied consistently whenever a team provisions through the catalog.
HOW ARTA WORKS
Platform Engineer
-
Publishes approved provider, environment, application, and resource templates for supported runtimes.
Defines ownership, identity groups, approval policies, and deployment controls.
-
Connects templates to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD workflows.
-
Maintains the catalog as enterprise standards and cloud architectures evolve.
Developer
-
Selects an approved runtime and target environment from the infrastructure catalog.
-
Completes a guided wizard with ownership and application configuration.
-
Receives a configured repository, pipeline, infrastructure definition, and catalog registration.
-
Uses the catalog to view dependencies, deployments, environments, and operational history.

PERSONAS
Platform Engineer — "Sets the rails, not the train"
Defines infrastructure tiers, governance policies, approval gates, and templates. Arta automates repeatable provisioning and lifecycle workflows, allowing platform engineers to focus on standards and platform evolution.
Developer — "Builds products, not plumbing"
Selects approved patterns from the infrastructure catalog and receives a governed starting point with repository, pipeline, infrastructure, and ownership already configured.
One Catalog for Approved Cloud Building Blocks
Arta presents approved infrastructure as discoverable, reusable catalog items. Providers define the available cloud foundations. Environments apply classification and approval requirements. Application templates create complete development starting points. Resource templates attach governed cloud services to applications.
Platform teams can add and update customer-specific templates without exposing the Arta product source code. Developers see only the patterns their organization has approved for use.

What Is Built In
Approved Architectures

Developers choose from patterns reviewed by the customer's platform and architecture teams. This reduces one-off designs and repeated architecture reviews.
Identity and Access
Group ownership, repository permissions, role assignments, and resource grants can be applied during provisioning using customer-defined policies.
Governance Policies
Classification, naming, tagging, retention, and access requirements can be encoded into templates instead of being left to each development team.
Audit Trail
Deployment operations write structured records that are visible through the catalog and available for operational, security, and compliance review.
CI/CD Automation
Generated pipelines support plan, apply, promotion, and removal workflows. Environment-level approval gates can be applied where formal authorization is required.
Catalog Registration
Applications, environments, providers, and resources are registered with ownership, dependency relationships, and operational history.
Team-Scoped Access
Repository permissions and cloud access are scoped to customer identity groups and configured through least-privilege policies.
Standards and Tagging
Resource names, repository names, cloud tags, and ownership metadata are generated consistently from approved templates.
Key Benefits
Enterprise Standards, Applied Consistently
Architecture, security, networking, naming, and governance requirements are encoded into reusable templates. This reduces configuration drift and manual implementation errors across teams.
Supported and Approved Runtimes
Platform engineers can publish templates for customer-approved technologies, including data platforms, serverless services, containers, and cloud-native resources. Additional runtimes can be added through governed template development.
Self-Service With the Right Controls
Pre-approved templates reduce repeated infrastructure requests. Approval gates remain available for staging, production, and other controlled environments.
Team-Scoped Ownership
Applications and environments are assigned to customer identity groups. Repository permissions and cloud grants are applied from that ownership model to reduce unauthorized cross-team access.
Consistent Environment Promotion
Developers can deploy an application to another approved environment while Arta resolves the backing provider, deployment configuration, and environment-specific governance requirements.
Organizational Visibility
The live catalog shows what has been deployed, who owns it, what it depends on, where it runs, and its recorded deployment history.
Customer-Hosted by Design
Arta is deployed within the customer's Azure or AWS environment. Cloud credentials, infrastructure templates, deployment workflows, and operational records remain within customer-controlled identity, network, and security boundaries. This deployment model supports data residency, network isolation, auditability, and internal change-control requirements.

Supported Runtimes
Data platforms, serverless services, containers, and cloud-native resources represented by customer-approved templates. Availability depends on the templates enabled in each customer deployment.
Evaluation, Licensing, and Support
Guided Evaluation
Prospective customers can request a guided demonstration or a limited, time-bound pilot with agreed scope and success criteria. Arta does not currently provide an unattended public free trial.
Licensing
Arta uses a flat annual platform-license model rather than per-developer pricing. Negotiated private offers, partner arrangements, pilots, and multi-year terms can be provided where appropriate.
Included Platform Support
Standard support covers the Arta application, supplied deployment artifacts, troubleshooting, defect resolution, security updates, maintenance releases, and version upgrades. General cloud administration, customer-specific template development, third-party products, and unrelated infrastructure issues require a separate agreement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Arta deployed?
Arta is deployed inside the customer's Azure or AWS environment. The customer retains control over identity, networking, encryption, data, and cloud resources.
Is Arta priced per developer?
No. Arta uses a flat annual platform license for one customer organization and production platform deployment, subject to the applicable offer terms.
Can customers add their own templates?
Yes. Platform administrators can publish and manage customer-specific templates through the solution template repository without receiving access to the Arta product source code.
Does every deployment bypass approval?
No. Templates can be pre-approved at the architecture level, while environment-level approval gates remain available for controlled deployments such as staging and production.
Does Arta guarantee regulatory compliance?
No product independently guarantees compliance. Arta provides customer-hosted deployment, access controls, audit records, encryption integration, and governed workflows that can support an organization's compliance program.
Can we evaluate Arta before an annual purchase?
Yes. CUBEANGLE offers guided demonstrations and can define a limited pilot with agreed scope, duration, responsibilities, and success criteria.
